Happy Birthday Blaine!! (mom)

Dear Family,

In front of you all I wanted to wish Blaine a very happy birthday today. We celebrated last Sunday night in their home with Ben but I want you to know, Blaine, that I have been thinking of you ALL day today. You totally changed my life 29 years ago. I had no idea what a rewarding, wonderful and challenging journey I was beginning on that day. What an honor to be your mother. I'll always remember grandma Winder's comment in the hospital that she thought you looked just like a general authority. I always felt I gave birth to someone VERY special! Thanks for being such an obedient and trustworthy son and such a good example to your siblings. You had to be the one we "learned on" being first and all. And you have taken it all in stride. Thanks for being patient with me as a mom. I love you so much. You probably understand that statement much better now that you have your own children, but I promise you that love just grows and grows the longer you live.

Dear Max:

I'm really glad that I've known you since you were three. Because I have a whole box full of the cutest things that you made for me. Actually all of your siblings too for that matter, it's been SO fun to get a chance to be a big sister. I always wanted to be one, and never thought I would have the chance. As I went through my box of memories tonight I had the cutest letters and cards from each of you (Nick, some of yours were so classic!). But I think because I got to watch him grow up from being such a little guy Max is my favorite little brother! Thanks for making being a big sister such a fun experience guys!
