Re: Love from mom from Texas

Glad you got there safe! Your story kind of reminded me of Rosey and I's story of sprinting through the airport on our way home from Texas. Loved the letter Mom! Sure love you!

Dear Family,

I missed writing last night but thought I would catch up on this beautiful Austin morning.  Tess and I just got back from a beautiful walk and Janey and Griff are upstairs snoozing!  We were all awake at 6:30 this morning.  Kristi had written me notes about her life and schedule and said the kids needed a "ridiculous amount of prodding" to get out the door on time.  She nailed it.  Wow!  I have forgotten the patience it takes to do this!

But don't get me wrong, we are having a great time and I'm happy to be here to help out.  We had quite an adventure getting here that I wanted to share.

When we flew out on Friday morning there was a super long security line.  Then, because I was holding Grif when we went thru the detector, my hands had to be swiped.  They tested positive for something so then practically everything in my carry-on bag had to be swiped.  Then I was pulled to the side, taken to a private room, waited for another woman to finally come, and had to be patted down.  Thankfully I passed and we could get on our way to the furthest gate, arriving barely in time to line up for boarding.  Thank you, Bret, for teaching me to allow PLENTY of time at the airport.

Janey and I flew to Austin via Las Vegas.  Because of potential bad weather in Austin we boarded late and THEN, after the plane was completely boarded (and full), they announce that we had a potential 90 minute wait before being cleared for take off.  Yikes!  Thankfully they permitted anyone who needed to to get off the plane and stay in the airport waiting area.  We figured Griff needed it.  Thankfully the delay wasn't the full 90 minutes.

Blaine and Kristi had left for Hawaii the day before and left their van at the airport in a "valet" parking.  After we paid and showed ID, their van pulled up and had a totally flat tire rear tire.  They called some service guys to pump it up (saying it must just be a slow leak) and they sent us on our way.  After calling Kristi we decided to stop at Costco on our way home (since that is where she bought the tires) to get it repaired.  That was a two hour wait but we decided to do it then so we could get it taken care of!

Finally around 7 pm we picked up the kids.  Two of her friends were so kind to keep them all those extra hours, and feed them.  What kind sisters!  We were so thankful to be home.  And I was so thankful, through all of that, to have Janey with me so we could just laugh and talk out the next step.  And so she could be the navigator!

We laid low on Saturday.  The kids got lots of "media time" as they call it.  Gwen, Tess and I went to a craft store to spend her birthday money.  Again, so happy to have Janey here so we can do those kind of things without taking all the kids.

Yesterday, instead of the regular block, the had a 2-hour regional broadcast.  The first 30 minutes was a message from their stake president and then a 90 broadcast that went to all of the southeast region from CA to TX.  Elders Robbins, Corbridge and Oaks all spoke, along with Linda Reeves from the General Relief Society presidency.  The kids were so good and Tess was tired and very mellow on my lap and I actually got to listen and enjoy it.  I was really moved by their messages on simplifying our lives, on repentance, and on what questions in the Gospel really matter.  I think those kinds of meetings are not recorded so you just get to hear the talk once (unlike conference). I really enjoyed it.  And it made me miss dad as I wanted to talk to him about it!

Yesterday afternoon we made a bare "gratitude tree" out of brown paper sacks (similar to what I did with Bret and Clay last year). We cut out lots of paper leaves to write the things we are thankful for and tape them on to the tree throughout the week and month.

I am sure I have rambled on long enough.  I just have to say how adorable Tess is.  (There are not words for her sweetness.) how obedient Bentley is, how creative and smart Gwen is and how dramatic and spunky Ivy is.  And I love them all!  Oh and did I mention how thankful I am for Janey for coming?  Very thankful!

Love you all.  I have a fun FHE planned for tonight.  Grandpa is going to be jealous he isn't here because our refreshments are his favorite - a chocolate cream layer cake.

Love you all.

Re: Catching up-Stef

I'm sorry about not getting the job, Nick.  The fact that it took so long for them to decide seems to be an indication that it was a HARD decision and I would guess you were the one they wanted but for whatever reason someone else was chosen.  That is my bias opinion anyway!  There must be something good down the line.  So proud of all your hard work and thankful you have employment!  Love you guys.

Thanks for writing honey! You captured some great examples of life in our home right now. Stef is indeed amazing with how quick she is with her shopping. I will say that I helped get the neighbor gifts done during conference...so I did help:)

After months of waiting and several interviews I actually just found out today that I did not get the job. While I believe it's because the Lord has other plans for me, it is still hard news. Mostly because a) I actually feel very qualified for the job which is something I can't always say has been the case and b) everyone I interviewed with are people on the team I currently work on. So I'm having a hard time not taking it as evidence of how they might really feel about me. I'll obviously sit down with some of them to try and get some feedback, but in any case, it's all said and done. Anyway, it's all ok, and life goes on but surely is a disappointment.

Thanks again for writing Stef!

Hey fam,

I haven't written in so long!  I have a few minutes so I will share some updates!

Over the last few weeks, I have finally started feeling almost 100% which is lovely!  This pregnancy has been much different than the others.  I am blaming the female hormones brewing inside me.  I am such a lousy sick person that I don't get around to doing much when I don't feel well.  I am very grateful to be doing better.  That's not to say I am not still exhausted all the time, but I am also grateful for that as it gets me to bed earlier :).

Bret is enjoying his new school.  I am hoping he can find some good friends over the rest of the school year.  Meanwhile, we will keep being best friends as a family which is definitely my preference.  I still feel so grateful to have hime closer and not have to drive so much.  He is such a good studier.  He loves reading and is on book #30 of the Magic Treehouse series.  He and Clay will both play jr. Jazz basketball this winter season.  We are talking a lot about baptism and hope we can sufficiently prepare him so he understands the covenant he is making as much as an 8 year old can.

Clay just loves his Kindergarten teacher.  He loves all day Kinder and loves walking home with our sweet neighbor girls.  He loves being rewarded for doing well in school and tries so hard to be a good boy.  It is sweet.  He puked on Sunday night (while sleeping) and got to stay home from school Monday.  He loved it and even though he had been sick he was trying to serve and help me all day!  He was hoping to puke again so he could stay home with Ned and I.  :)  He is my fire and ice boy with high highs and low lows.  He does well with his reading and math.  He loves to do his homework because he loves to color.

Ned is just the sweetest little friend I could ever ask for.  He will follow me around all day and help or do his own thing depending on what he is feeling like doing.  He cracks me up with the questions he asks and the faces he makes.  He loves to sleep on my floor by my bed.  He comes in nightly although we try to get him to go to sleep in his bed.  He is in the funniest phase of every time he wets the diaper he needs it changed right then.  I see this as a good sign that he will want to potty train before he is five.  :) .  During the last bit of primary on Sunday, his nursery teacher came in and said "Ned is requesting a fresh diap." He is hilarious. I even had to change one in the middle of the night last night because he was wet when he came in.  Boy am I getting prepped for a newborn.  :)  He is also SUPER OCD.  The blankets have to face a certain way for sleeping, his diaper has to be just right, socks just right, and we have to do things in a certain order.  Its adorable though.  He gets super upset if we don't read out of our special scriptures that we are working on right now, meaning if we just use our phones, to him it doesn't really count.   I am grateful for his friendship and companionship and this time we get to spend together.  I am so lucky and blessed to have these 3 boys!  (And NICK)  They are the best!!!

Nick is crazy busy with work.  Most of you know he has applied for a new position that he is really hoping for.  I can't believe how long it has dragged out, but such is the way of HR right?  You can pray for him to get it if its the right thing for him.  Neither of us have ever been so tired in our lives.  We are looking forward to the Thanksgiving break.  :).  He recently finished up a softball league that he played with my brother Brad and his friend Zac Pendleton.  We didn't get to go to very many games as school is in session and bedtimes are earlier.  He enjoys his morning basketball with Rosey, James, Regan and others as long as he doesn't have to get to an early morning meeting at work.  He got the yard looking ship shape last Saturday.  We were grateful for the beautiful weather!  We got our sprinklers winterized and all the hoses, etc. put away as well as covering our lovely swamp cooler.  He is so handy!  I know we both wish he had more time for home projects!  We are enjoying the plants and things coming together in our yard that once was weeds.  How grateful I am each time I look outside!  He is working hard in his calling as Stake YM pres.  He barely got released from the ward YMs pres a couple weeks ago.  Sundays are so incredibly busy and exhausting for us, but it feels good to serve.  He is such a good teacher and father to the boys.  I am grateful especially for his strengths in the areas that I am weakest.  I am grateful we get to have each other to navigate through parenthood and life on earth.  I love him lots.

I love my calling as Primary Pres.  I love the ladies I work with and having something to focus on and prepare for.  We have a great ward that needs us and we need them (sounds like the YW theme right?)  As soon as I have some energy, I nest while I am prego- meaning not just at the end, but the entire time!  We have gotten a lot of things ready which helps me feel at peace.  I LOVE shopping for great deals, and it is SUPER fun to buy girl clothes!! The nursery/Ned's room is pretty much ready.  We didn't do too much, just hung curtains, added some girlish artwork and got some new sheets and a mattress for our beloved free off KSL crib haha.  Ned has taken his mattress to his toddler bed that he sometimes sleeps in.  :)  It should work great and was easy peasy.  I am enjoying my 2 dance classes that I am teaching.  They are a little bit younger than I taught last year and I love that.  They haven't made as many bad habits and haven't developed attitudes yet so they are fun to work with.  I am enjoying my adult company and the dance class I get to take with it.  I am exhausted by then end of Tuesday night since I am gone from 5-10:30 dancing, but it gets me to exercise and socialize.  We are preparing for a big show April 22-23.  You are all invited!  :)  It will be called Express-ions of the Family.  (My company is called Express).  Lots of cool things are starting to come together!  I also am so delighted that my Christmas cards are done and my holiday shopping is almost done.  I have goals to be done by Dec. 1 so I can enjoy the Spirit of my favorite season the entire month of December.  I finished a book called Celebrating a Christ Centered Christmas that gave me some great ideas of how to really focus on Christ and bring the spirit into our home for the holidays.  I LOVED the book and can't wait to do some of the things that it suggested.  I told Nick all I wanted for Christmas was for him to read it before Dec. 1 and he is.  What a good guy :) his shopping is easy this year!

Well I am going on and on, I guess that is what happens when you never write.  Love you all and sure enjoy the time we get to spend together.  Looking forward to much more!!

Great letter STEF! Love your preparedness for the holiday season.  I did it last year because of Griff and was grateful I did (although iid by get to "enjoy" the holiday season as much as I felt like a walking zombie.) didn't know Nick applied for a new position. We will pray the right things will happen. Love ya.

Re: Love from Mom

Mom! I loved this update, and I want to respond to more when I am not so tired, but I just have to comment- I can't believe Ryan and Julie are moving to Clovis!

Literally the main thing I think when I drive through there is "I feel so bad for anyone who has to live here!" Isn't that awful! Now I feel guilty for thinking that! But I can't lie, I just...can't fathom someone I know and love living there! It will be great for us, to have a reason to stop and say hi (maybe a place to rest our weary heads). Let's hope my negative feelings have more to do with having been trapped in a car for like 18 hrs when we pass through there and nothing more ;) haha.

Okay, more later, loved the update!

Course they had to because I kept telling them what great hikers Ben and Gwen had been so I hoped they could do as well. We ate lunch on top and hurried down to meet Max in the library to see the Lego exhibit. We walked around with Max a bit and even walked him to class. It was a quick visit but SO FUN for me to be on campus. I love the spirit on the BYU campus. Plus, because it was the day before Halloween, lots of people were dressed up. Very entertaining! Love from Mom

Hi guys,

We just got home from a good family meeting at Bryan and Chandi's home. I think her apple crisp is the best I have ever had. She is a wonderful cook, just like her mom was. Yum!

We learned this morning that aunt Jann has suffered a mild stroke and is in a hospital in Johannesburg. She wrote a short email this morning saying she had had some symptoms and asked us to remember her in our fast. Then later Emery wrote to say she was taken to the hospital. Her speech is not slurred but she had numbness and I guess her emotions are on a roller coaster. They have only been in the country six days. Emery said the hospital is a good one. Kind of scary! Pray for her.

We had salmon for our Sunday dinner today with Janey and Warner and Rosey. Since the price of salmon is through the roof I thought that is worth writing about! I also baked part of a huge banana squash and it was delicious! And we are also still enjoying tomatoes from the garden. (No freeze yet.)

We enjoyed Halloween yesterday. After my morning jalk (that's a combo of a jog and a walk), I planted some daffodil bulbs around the back patio and some pansies in front. I tore out most of the annual flowers earlier in the week.

I visited with aunt Karen and learned that Ryan and Julie Nordgren and family are moving from Pennsylvania to Clovis, New Mexico. Ryan got a new job there and they feel like it is the right thing to do. They move at the end of the year. Do you guys remember Clovis? It's right on the NM/Texas border and was where we generally spent the night when we drove to Houston all those many times.

We only had maybe a dozen trick or treaters, the cutest being little Grif with his bow tie and balloons. He was the cute little man from the movie Up. Because he had to keep his hands firmly around the pvc pipe walker, he did not even mess with the glasses. It was so cute! And speaking of, I loved the pictures everyone sent out of their trick or treaters! Thanks.

Last night dad, Janey, Warner, Grif and I went to Tuscanos. Dad had his BOGO birthday coupon and since they were also running a Halloween special we decided we should celebrate there with J&W. Of course we are celebrating that Warner passed his series 7 test. Way to go Warner! Our prayers were answered. I highly recommend the lobster bisque at Tuscanos! The whole meal was delicious.

Friday was no school for Bret and Clay. I picked them up around 11 and we headed to Provo. It was a perfect, crisp, sunny Fall day - just right for climbing to the Y. The boys did really well. We got some tasty cookie dough ice cream before heading home.

That night was the cousins Halloween party so dad and I tended all the little boys. But first, lots of the cousins met in our driveway to carpool up to the cabin and it was fun to see the costumes. Someone should send the photo. While we ate pizza with the boys dad told the boys the uncle Kent big foot story. It was cute how Clay really believed it and Bret - not at all!

Last Monday dad and I went to our YSA family home evening and carved pumpkins. We even dressed up - a pumpkin and a BYU player!

Tuesday I learned that Dejon Becovic got out of jail. Biljanan was relieved. Still don't know the story there. I took Biljana to our JN 2nd RS Soup Social and all the sisters were so kind to her. I know she felt really strengthened by their love and support.

Okay that pretty much covers it. Work continues to be busy. I wore my pedometer on Thursday and logged 11,000 steps just at work!

So it's been a great week. Love you all.

Fall has finally flung in Texas! It was nearly 100 dgs every day until Saturday, it was so hot. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't like being cold, but 100 dgs into late October? That was pushing it! On Saturday we had historic rainful of 10+ inches! We didn't have anywhere we had to be (well, we did but everything got cancelled), so we were able to spend the day cozied up inside making muffins, playing games, and, yes, watching movies! It was really nice to have such a slow paced day. Blaine had to do a little work, but that was our own fault since he had basically taken Friday off :)

Thursday night at midnight found Blaine and I in our usual "oh shoot, it's our kids birthday tomorrow" scramble! We always like to have a banner and balloons up for the big day, yet we somehow don't ever really think about it until really late at night. I had given it a cursory thought earlier and thought we still had balloons left from Bentley's bday. Midnight came and I learned I was wrong. And I was also SO TIRED! Blaine was the hero of the night as he hung up the banners and wrapped the gifts for me. I knew I was taking an emotional withdrawal as I pathetically listened from the comfort of my bed.

I think Gwen had a nice birthday. I made crepes for breakfast, which she loved. Blaine and I met up with her for lunch at school, which she also loved (mostly because Blaine spoiled her rotten by bringing her candy, soda and all manner of deliciousness to add to her lunch), after school she did a service project with some friends (with a group organized by the school), and for dinner we all went out together to Kerbey Lane Cafe, an Austin Classic. It was so cute to watch the kids order their kids meals! The most expensive one was $5 but most were around $3, so in a rare episode of generosity we let them each choose their own kids meal. Kerbey Lane specializes in breakfast but has a lot of other options too. Gwen choose grilled cheese (after making sure it wasn't American cheese, but REAL cheese), Ivy choose a PBJ with strawberries (okay, that was hard for me, who goes to a restaurant and orders a PBJ??? She basically ordered what I make her for lunch every single day), And Ben was the most fun as he ordered a breakfast platter. It was just sweet to see what they each wanted and how they ordered it. Ben's had the most choices to make and he seriously pondered over each one. I loved it. Tess opted for the free banana I had brought in my purse :)

At the end of the meal our nice waitress asked if it would be okay to bring cake for Gwen "on the house", I said sure. Turns out she brought us three huge delicious pieces of chocolate cake, we couldn't even finish it all (which is really impressive if you know us at all!).

For her birthday Gwen got a new dress, a dayplanner, a book about lettering, and a little kit for making glitter tattoos (gasp!). Along with money from Mom and Dad! My mom was cute and sent her some money and a recipe to make Glorified Cheez-Its.  Glorified Cheez-its, in the manner of all things my mom, takes something really really good, and somehow makes it even better. It's some wild concoction of cheez-its, butter, parmesan cheese, and ranch seasoning. We all love them and she shipped some to Ben for his birthday but that cost quite a lot to ship, so Gwen got the recipe and some cash to buy the ingredients :)

Tess is just getting cuter and cuter. We really wish we could freeze her just how she is. She is at SUCH a fun age! I am so glad mom and Jane will get to be around her for a week. She's hilarious! She is now parroting a lot of what we say. This was evidenced today when I was putting ingredients in the crock pot and found I didn't have any black beans "dang it!" I said, and now all day Tess is walking around "dang it dang it dang it!" Gotta start being more careful with what I say!

Also, somehow this weekend she has matured from calling me mama, to mom. And not like a cute, happy, "mom!", she sounds like an annoyed and impatient teenager "MOM. MOM! MOOOOOOM! MOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!" All day every day. It's still kind of funny and cute for now, but borderline a little too skunky for comfort.

Blaine also says he has heard her say "Mine" quite a few times. Yikes. But intermiexed with all the terrible two stuff blossoming there is sure a lot of sweet. We all just sat in a circle around her the other day as she toddled from person to person, gave each of us a sweet hug while saying our names "Bahhhhn" "I-VY" "Nen" she gives sweet little pats on your back while she hugs you. I could melt from the cutenenss.

She also uses "out" and "hot" and "cute" all appropriately. She things every outfit she owns is "CUTE!" so when I put away laundry she will just exclaim "CUTE!" "CUUUUUTE!" ha ha.

Gosh, I just love her. More than with any of the other kids I just marvel at how easily she just... could have never happened. I had my fill with three kids. I was done. And then we just said "well...maybe" and that maybe  turned in to Tess and I just don't even want to think about my life without her! Of course, this logic could get you in to a lot of trouble, because you could wind up with a thousand kids. We have to acknowledge our limits too. As cute and fun as she is right now, the two years proceeding now were really, really hard, almost threw in the towel a couple times. So we are just trying to enjoy every moment with Tess and we are so grateful that we took a chance, and bit off more than we could chew. Our life may be chaotic and crazy, but she added just the right sweetness to our lives that we needed!

Oh, and yesterday marked the end of the $100 challenge for Gwen! You'll all be happy to know that she earned the full $100, we had the most peaceful month of our whole parenting lives. Now I am left trying to figure out what I can do to keep the good vibes going, without breaking the bank!

Well, I am off, Jillian Michael's waits for no one!

Love,

Kris

Re: Love from Mom

When Rosey and I found out where mom had been after we all had left the temple, I felt like Rosey and I were Mary and Joseph looking for Christ and they found him in the temple.  Mom could have said to us when we found her,

"And she said unto us, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Mother's business?"

Love you honey.  Thanks for writing...

Good sum up to the week mom! I couldn't agree with you more on the wedding. When I was little and would see movies with weddings I thought how beautiful they were and how fun to have all the bridesmaids and groomsmen.....the temple just seemed kind of boring. I'm so grateful to have exactly the opposite feelings now! I love the temple and  grateful for eternal marriages. I hope they make it there in a year too!
Thanks for sharing.

Dear Family,

October is passing quickly.  It's been a full week with an even fuller weekend!  Here are some highlights.  Since this will be my journal entry for the week, it may have TMI.  Feel free to skim.

Wednesday afternoon I went to Radiant Research for my second visit and shot. I am in a study that investigates the effectiveness of a flu shot and a shingles shot together vs. separately.  I earn $100 for each visit - not bad for 30 minutes!  I do a total of three visits and I receive the shots for free.  I think it's a good study.  (Dad's not so sure)

Wednesday evening was our stake conference temple night.  Dad went straight from work and we met there and ate dinner in the temple cafeteria before our session.  Our chapel meeting was after the session with a nice message from the Temple president.  Then, since we were in separate cars, I decided to stop and see grandma on the way home.  It was about 9:45 pm but I knew she would still be up.  I intended to be quick but we got visiting and I didn't get home until about 10:20, only to find a note that dad and Rosey had gone out looking for me.  They were so worried that I had never made it home.  They had tried calling but since I had left my phone in the car at grandmas I didn't get the call.  I quickly got a hold of them but felt bad I had been inconsiderate.  What a nice family to look out for me.  Sorry again.

Thursday after work I wanted to attend a back pain seminar from 6-7 that my boss, Wade, was presenting.  Funny story.  I got home from work around 5:40 and since I was going to turn around and leave again I wanted to make sure dad was okay with that.  When I asked him what he had planned for the evening he said it was fine if I left and that he was just going to work on the marriage thing.  Suddenly I was wondering if he is referring to "our"marriage and I was thinking I should probably be around if he wanted to work on it.  Come to find out, he meant the Tanner and Jackie marriage that he would be officiating on Saturday!  We had a good laugh.

It was definitely a wedding weekend.  Friday night Ashleigh, Kacey (who drove 20 hours to attend this wedding) and Brittany hosted a wedding dinner/shower for Jackie at Sid and Stephanie's home.  Tasty dinner and a couple games.  Kacey loves games!

Friday night dad and I face-timed Gwen on her 11th birthday.  I still cannot believe she is so old!  We loved getting to watch her open her gift and card with $$$.

Saturday morning the Winder aunts and grandma hosted a bridal shower for Alana at Yorgason's home.  We had a great turnout and it was fun to see how excited not only Alana is, but also JaNae.  No games, lots of food and visiting.

Saturday night was the Tanner/Jackie wedding at Thanksgiving Point.  The venue was nice.  Brittany had done some beautiful decorations.  Dad did a great job officiating.  There were probably 80-100 in attendance for the ceremony and about the same people for the reception that was in a room across the hall.  Although Jackie's mom and step dad and some sisters were there, I gathered this event was all thrown by Kent and Liz.  They served soup (from Harmons) and cheese balls and Janey had made over 400 cookies.  And they served the cake and also had a cute table with all manner of Hershey's gold and silver wrapped chocolates.  They ended with dancing and a sparkler send off. Nice evening.  Oh and Kacey had made the cutest flower girl dressed that her four girls and little Charlotte wore.  It was lovely but nothing matches the temple.  Hopefully in a year!!

Dad and I came home from that and watched poor University of Utah get trounced in football.  Dad had taped it so we could fast forward the game.  Sad since the U has been ranked so high!

If you're still with me, one more thing.  (Sorry - this is my journal entry for the week).  I visit teach Biljana.  About a week ago, after hearing there were lots of FBI and police cars at her house early one morning, I took her muffins and asked if she wanted to talk about it.  She said she didn't but she was very nice and grateful to me for checking in on her and we visited and it sounded like things were okay.  I made an appointment to visit teach her this past Friday.  When she answered the door on Friday she was sobbing and couldn't talk for several minutes.  My visit turned into several hours as I learned that her son Dejon, who is Max's age, had just been taken to jail that morning, just before I arrived.  I'll tell you right now that I still don't know what he did and I really don't think Biljana knows.  (And if she does, she is not saying.). As she cried and we sat in silence (except for sobs), I had plenty of time to pray in my mind and wonder what on earth I could say to help calm her down.  She was sad, she was angry, she was bitter and she felt very, very hopeless. I shared thoughts on everything from faith, hope and charity to the atonement, to "hanging it on the Lord's hook". After an hour or so she was able to talk more and get feelings out.  After two hours I asked if I could close with a thought (see VT message on charity this month) and a prayer.  We ended with a beautiful spirit and I felt the Lord blessing me as I was there.  I visited her again yesterday and she was doing much better.  I'm praying for them.

Today was our YSA stake conference.  Rosey sang in the choir that was so beautiful.  Our visiting authority was Elder John Pingree Jr. and I loved his remarks.

Today we fasted for Warner who takes his test on Friday.  As hard as fasting is, it certainly brings a sweet spirit into the home.  Then tonight everyone except B&K came to dinner, even Max from Provo.  I cooked a roast ($2.49/lb Kris!) and mashed potatoes and Janey made rolls and tasty pumpkin sugar cookies that we rationed.  Yum!  Everything tastes better after fasting.

Ponderizing scripture is Alma 7:11.  I love the scriptures.

And I love all of you!

Mom
