BIG NEWS!!!!

Hola familia! Hace tiempo que escribo. Todavia sigo con el espanol. No lo he perdido aun!
Its been a while since I've written. Life is going great! I am excited to head back to school on Monday! TIME FLIES!!! I can't believe its already time to move out again. I still feel like I'm just barely getting home.
As far as school goes...I feel ready. Girl-wise, my options are wide open. I have been going on a lot of dates but not much has come out of it. As many of you know, I went on a date with a girl from my mission about a week before the reunion. It was so so so so much fun!!!!!!! (many exclamation points) And she had a great time too. I really felt good about the whole thing. She texted me that night to thank me. I texted her the next day....nothing. There still hasn't been much between us since then, but I havent lost hope. I just wanted to leave my options open just in case...yanno? ;)
Major-wise, I am going to stick with computer science. I have been praying hard to know what to do, and lately...I have felt very strongly that I need to at least pursue it. I had a little one on one conversation with one of the head computer scientist at L3 communications. (Bruce set it up.) I loved talking with him. We explored around what he does. He talked about how computer science is kind of like playing an instrument. Once you get down the language and technique, you can create real art. That is right down my ally!
School doesn't start until the 31st, but I start work this Tuesday. I am really excited to keep working at Stewarts. I love my job.

The other day I had a really REALLY hard day at work. My truck wasn't working well, my gps AND phone both died, so I was lost in Layton trying to look for the freeway. It was just a rough day. But I got back to the office, exhausted, and my boss came up to talk to me. He said, "Max! The name that is brought up and a hushed manner and sacred." I was kind of confused, but he proceeded to tell me that he had just returned from a big meeting in Provo with HIS boss and his bosses boss (the owner of the company.) It was a big meeting. I guess my name was brought up (not even by Tyler, my boss) and they just talked about how much they have enjoyed having me on board. They talked about how I am the #2 lawn technician, which means I am getting the second most work done. (I think the number one is the "lawn manager.") Anyways, I guess JD (my bosses boss) told Tyler that they usually wouldnt let someone transfer down so easy to only do part time work, but he was totally fine with me doing it.
I felt very honored! It kind of makes me nervous to keep that rep going while I am down there.
The way I explained this probably doesn't make it sound that great, but it really was cool! :)
So work is great!

Okay...and now for the big news!
I know all of you have been curious about my jaw. (Dad even wrote a section of his email based around that issue.) Well I have a big update. Mom, Dad and I visited an orthodontist last Thursday. I had xrays done, and then we gathered in his little office where he and his assistant did a consultation.
Long story short....after a while of looking, the ortho told us that I WILL NOT NEED THE SURGERY! He said that because I am missing a tooth, they will be able to use that space to bring back my teeth. So that is good news!
However, in order to bring my teeth back, I am going to need braces....immediately! We set up an appointment for NEXT WEEK to get my braces on!
That was a curveball. I definitely wasn't expecting to start school with braces, but...I guess thats how life goes sometimes. Full of surprises.
Will this be affecting my social/dating/marriage life? ...probably...;) haha jk I know that this is the right decision to make at this point. I know I will be so so happy next summer when I'm not having to take off 3 months of work for recovery time.

It really is a huge blessing! Our prayers have definitely been answered, both for me and for ya'll (because this will probably affect where we go on our vacation next year! Can't wait!)

Anyways, life is good. Cant wait for these next 2 years of adventure with braces again! I can now officially say that I have the worst mouth of the family. YAY!

Sure love you all. Thanks for your support and love.

Hope this all makes sense.

A vencer!

Love, Max
